Marquette University will enact a combination of in-person, hybrid and online classes for the fall 2020 semester, the school announced Wednesday.
Fewer students are expected to live on the campus, located just west of I-43 mainly between Clybourn Street and Wells Street.
The university explained that undergraduate students were expected to receive more information Wednesday about class options, while graduate students would get more information later this week.
First year students taking fully online classes can stay at their permanent home and will not have to live on campus, while sophomores can be released from their normal on-campus residency requirements. Juniors and seniors can be released from most university-owned apartment leases if they choose to take fully online courses.
While on campus, all faculty, staff and students will receive daily COVID-19 screenings.
All university members will be required to practice social distancing and wear a face-mask in shared and public areas of campus. The university says it will provide hand sanitizer and wipes at various campus locations.
