Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reports 832 new positive COVID-19 cases on Friday, after a day with more than 1,000 positive tests for the previous 24 hours.
In terms of raw numbers, 14,547 people in the state tested negative in that time frame, meaning that 5.4 percent of all tests came back positive. On Thursday, 6.1 percent of tests came back positive.
The state also reported 15 new deaths of people who previously tested positive, bringing the total to 934 since the start of the pandemic.
Since Thursday, 47 more people have been reported hospitalized. Of everyone who has received medical care for COVID-19 in Wisconsin, 8.8 percent have been in a hospital.
The seven-day average of total positive daily tests has fallen to 860.
