Wisconsin’s Department of Health Services reported 590 new positive COVID-19 cases on Monday, dropping the number of new positive cases by more than a percentage point.
6,356 people tested negative, meaning that 8.5 percent of all tests in the last 24 hours came back positive. On Sunday, 9.6 percent of those tested were positive.
The state also reported another death, bringing the total to 893 since the start of the pandemic.
26 more people have been hospitalized since Sunday. 8.9 percent of all people who have tested positive have received care in hospitals.
The seven-day average of total positive daily tests has also dropped to 914. It fell from an average of 930 on Sunday, the highest average of the entire pandemic.
