For a second straight day, new daily COVID-19 cases in Wisconsin were lower Saturday compared to the previous day.
The Department of Health Services says 953 tests from 14,201 analyzed came back positive for July 25, 2020. That is a 6.7-percent rate for positive cases, up from 5.8-percent Friday.
The decline in new cases Saturday dropped the seven-day average for daily new cases to 912, down from the all-time record high of 916 Friday.
Throughout the pandemic, 47,870 positive cases have been reported. Just over 20-percent of those cases, 9,674, remain active. 808,528 tests have come back negative.
Deaths due to COVID-19 increased 13 people Saturday to 891.
