The Wisconsin Department of Health Services report a double-digit positive percentage test results for COVID-19 Sunday.
The total number of new cases is 830 for July 19, down from the most recent one day record set Saturday at 978. Combined with a total number of new tests analyzed Sunday of 8,089, that resulted in a 10.3-percent positive test rate.
The test rate is in the double digits for the first time since July 12.
The seven day average for daily new cases in Wisconsin continues to increase, reaching a new record Sunday at 838. This average has been on the rise since June 16, when it was 270.
Other data from the Wisconsin DHS about the current pandemic include:
- Total positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin during the pandemic is 42,315. 730,902 tests have come back negative.
- 8,838 of all cases reported are considered active, which is just under 21-percent.
- One new death connected to COVID-19 has been reported, increasing this total during the pandemic to 844
- Hospitals across Wisconsin with COVID-19 cases is at 339, up 24 patients since Saturday.
