Just one game into their belated 2020 season, the Milwaukee Milkmen are back on pause after a player tested positive for Covid-19.
Statement from @MKEMilkmen owner Mike Zimmerman: “Yes we had a positive test result and we are taking an over abundance of caution. We learned this morning and decided to hit the pause button and get all players and close contacts retested before our next game.” Continued— Lance Allan (@lanceallan) July 5, 2020
Mike Zimmerman @MKEMilkmen cont: “Fans should know that there was no issue with fan experience elements and that the entire stadium is sanitized daily. We are working closely with Franklin Health Department and our medical provider. Due to HIPPA we can’t release any player info.”— Lance Allan (@lanceallan) July 5, 2020
Owner Mike Zimmerman wouldn’t say whether it was one of his players who tested positive, or from their opponent, the Chicago Dogs.
They played their first game on Saturday.
The Milkmen are now working closely with the Franklin Health Department.
