MILWAUKEE — The Department of Public Works will reinstate metered parking enforcement beginning Monday, June 15.
These actions had been suspended back in March due to the coronavirus. However, with people back at work, the need for parking turnover has increased, according to the city of Milwaukee.
Enforcement of non-metered timed restrictions will not take effect at this time, including daytime parking permits. This will be phased in at a later date, the city says.
The following daytime permits will not see enforcement at this time:
- Commuter impacted residential area day parking permits
- Resident-only parking permits
- Residential non-conforming use day parking permits.
Also to be enforced on a later date is alternate side parking and night parking permits.
