Protesters across the country and in Milwaukee continue to rally for change, after the murder of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.
WTMJ’s Melissa Barclay recently spoke with co-developer of the Sherman Phoenix development JoAnne Sabir to get a better understanding of where we are as a nation when it comes to correcting systemic racism, inequality, and troubled relationships between the police and the community they serve.
Sabir believes we are at a tipping point.
“We are really now at the precipice in community formulating a strategy that lands us some place different, that doesn’t land us down the road in another hashtag,” Sabir said.
