At least 13 people have been injured in nine separate shootings across Milwaukee this holiday weekend.
The first incident happened Friday, May 22, 2020 at 9:30 p.m. The Milwaukee Police Department says a 20-year-old man was shot and injured near Chambers and 25th.
In one of the shootings, three people were injured when shots were fired outside of a Walmart near East Capitol Drive and North Holton Street around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Nobody has been arrested in that incident.
Later on Sunday, two shootings were reported within ten minutes of each other.
The first happened at 10:40 p.m. near Walnut Street and 30th Street. A woman was shot in the back and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Then at 10:50 p.m. the Milwaukee Police Department was alerted to a shooting near 42nd Place and Capitol Drive. A man was shot in the neck and needed treatment at the scene.
No suspects have been arrested in either of the Sunday night shootings.
