Brookfield Square opened its doors for the first time in two months on Monday.
Though shoppers were welcomed back inside, only a handful of stores were ready for business.
“It was kind of a last minute thing I know for a lot of stores,” said Tradehome manager Kevin Hocque, which was one of the few stores open on Monday. “I definitely prepped beforehand the week before, but it was kind of quick notice. It’s nice just to get back in and get a routine in.”
Tradehome hasn’t made any drastic changes to their operations.
“Health is basically a priority, like disinfecting and sanitizing [the keypad] after each sale,” Hocque said. “I know masks aren’t required, but we definitely have masks on hand if it’s more comfortable for the customer.”
As of Monday, there were 25 retail stores open in some form, along with 12 restaurants which were also listed on the mall’s website.
