Two new milestones were reached in Wisconsin today as COVID-19 continues to spread.
Wisconsin Department of Health Services reporting Sunday (May 10, 2020) 280 new positive cases across the state. That brings the overall total to 10,219. Sunday’s increase is the smallest daily increase since May 4.
When compared to all test results analyzed Sunday, the percentage of positive tests was 8-percent. While that is up from 7-percent Saturday, it does continue a seven-day streak where positive test results remain below 10-percent of all tests on a given day.
The 3,508 tests analyzed Sunday was the smallest number since May 4.
With two new deaths reported Sunday, Wisconsin has now seen at least 400 people died who have tested positive for COVID-19.
In Milwaukee County, health department officials report 3,981 positive cases Sunday with 217 deaths connected to COVID-19. The biggest increase in cases over the past week is on Milwaukee’s south side.
Other COVID-19 totals in southeast Wisconsin counties include:
- Dodge: 67 cases, 1 death
- Fond du Lac: 93 cases, 3 deaths
- Jefferson: 50 cases, 2 deaths
- Kenosha: 682 cases, 15 deaths
- Ozaukee: 105 cases, 9 deaths
- Racine: 704 cases, 16 deaths
- Walworth: 235 cases, 10 deaths
- Sheboygan: 66 cases, 2 deaths
- Washington: 117 cases, 4 deaths
- Waukesha: 400 cases, 23 deaths
