The percentage of positive coronavirus tests between Sunday and today continues to run around 10 percent in the state of Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services said that about 9.9 percent of tests in the state reported in the last 24 hours were positive – the first day in four where the percentage of positive tests to total tests were under 10 percent. However, those numbers reflect a general rise in cases after what had been a four-day downturn.
This continues the status of not achieving what the current “Badger Bounce Back” plan says is required: A “downward trajectory of positive tests as a percent of total tests within a 14-day period.”
In total, 340 people have died in the state due to coronavirus-related cases.
At least 8,261 people in Wisconsin have contracted the virus, according to data released this afternoon both from the State of Wisconsin and Milwaukee County.
3,331 cases have happened in Milwaukee County, according to the county. (The state had previously listed 3,296 an hour before the county released its newest numbers.)
80,467 people have had negative tests in the state.

The total of coronavirus cases in Wisconsin has topped 8,000 total cases.
Combining the Monday morning update from Milwaukee County and Sunday’s data from the state of Wisconsin, the state has at least 8,020 total cases in the state.
Milwaukee County’s total reached exactly 3,300 cases Monday morning.
The state says that 195 of Wisconsin’s 339 coronavirus deaths have happened in Milwaukee County.

Sunday, 4:39 p.m.
The upward trend in coronavirus cases in Wisconsin continued Sunday, but for a second straight day they are lower than the day before.
State health officials announcing there were 304 positive tests on May 3, the lowest daily increase in four days. The total number of cases is at 7,964.
The percentage of positive cases based on all tests performed was 11.1. That is up 0.8-percent from Saturday, and continues a four day trend where positive tests are greater than one out of ten analyzed.
There were five deaths reported Sunday due to COVID-19, increasing that total to 339. That is the lowest daily increase since April 25.
Negative tests results have increased overall to 79,997. Hospitalizations due to the virus have been 1,608, or about 20 percent of all cases.
