The upward trend in coronavirus cases in Wisconsin continued Sunday, but for a second straight day they are lower than the day before.
State health officials announcing there were 304 positive tests on May 3, the lowest daily increase in four days. The total number of cases is at 7,964.
The percentage of positive cases based on all tests performed was 11.1. That is up 0.8-percent from Saturday, and continues a four day trend where positive tests are greater than one out of ten analyzed.
There were five deaths reported Sunday due to COVID-19, increasing that total to 339. That is the lowest daily increase since April 25.
Negative tests results have increased overall to 79,997. Hospitalizations due to the virus have been 1,608, or about 20 percent of all cases.
