A longtime Wisconsin broadcaster has passed away.
Mike Elliott served WTMJ for 13 years during three different stints at Radio City.
He started his Wisconsin broadcasting career in Milwaukee as host of WTMJ’s mid-afternoon music show in 1973.
Elliott also worked as an announcer, sports personality and program director.
He was inducted into the Wisconsin Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2007.
Elliott was 82-years-old.
With sadness, reporting the passing of my first boss at @620wtmj, Mike Elliott, 82. Mike gave this young announcer “wannabe” a shot at doing the all-night show on ‘TMJ when I was just 21. Sending grateful condolences to the Elliott family.https://t.co/OxVIAR70Is
