The Unified Emergency Operations Center for Milwaukee County is asking for donations of personal protective equipment to help protect emergency and healthcare workers.
Residents are being asked to donate items including N95 masks, surgical masks, safety glasses, hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes or sprays, protective gowns or suits and disposable medical gloves.
The Wisconsin Hospital Association says that out of 133 hospitals across the state, there are 73 with less than a seven-day supply of goggles and 49 hospitals have less than a seven-day supply of N95 masks.
Donations can be dropped off at the Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.
Donors will be asked to enter at gate 5 near the intersection of 84th Street and Slinger Ave in West Allis.
Donations are being accepted at the gate.
