Former vice president and Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden says the party may have to change how they hold this summer’s Democratic National Convention.
“We’re going to have to do a convention, may have to do a virtual convention,” Biden told ABC’s “This Week.” “I think we should be thinking about that right now.”

It was announced earlier this week the 2020 DNC, which will be held in Milwaukee, would be moved from July to August.
It is still unclear what the convention may look like, given the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s going to be an economic blow to the city if it doesn’t happen. A psychological blow to the city if it doesn’t happen,” ABC News political analyst Steve Roberts tells Wisconsin’s Morning News.
“The Democrats still want to do this. A real convention is very important to a political party. It’s several nights on national TV, it showcases the rising stars, it’s a way of energizing the troops, it’s a way of showcasing the ideas and candidates. Believe me, they don’t want to cancel it, but none of us know how this disease is going to play out.”
