A Lodi woman may be facing legal trouble after falsely claiming online that she had been diagnosed with coronavirus.
Police say they received several calls after the 27-year-old published the post, and her place of employment would not allow other employees to come into work.
The woman later admitted that she had been told to self-quarantine, and that she had neither been tested nor diagnosed with the disease.
Police say the post caused “unwarranted fear” and have charged the woman with disorderly conduct.
