MILWAUKEE- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office says it’s investigating the death of a 66 year old man due to complications of coronavirus.
This morning’s announcement comes just a day after the State Health Department confirmed two other deaths linked to the virus. One of the victims was a man in his fifties from Fond du Lac County, the other, a male in his nineties from Ozaukee County.
Governor Evers office released the following response after the deaths were reported Thursday.
“Our hearts go out to all the loved ones affected by these deaths, and to all those suffering from this virus,” said Gov. Evers. “We are committed to fighting the spread of COVID-19 in Wisconsin and I want to recognize the hard work and bravery of our nurses, doctors, state health officials, and all those on the front lines in the effort to save lives. Together we will get through this historic health challenge.”
Other states reporting deaths related to the COVID-19 pandemic include California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
