MILWAUKEE- Coming to Milwaukee on short-notice, comedian Dave Chappelle left his audience with more than laughter Tuesday night.
A week after five people lost their lives in a mass shooting at the Molson Coors Brewery, Chappelle announced a series of four comedy shows in Milwaukee. Nearly two weeks after the shooting, Chappelle announced he was donating ticket sale proceeds from one of his shows to the families of those killed in the shooting.
Chappelle made the surprise announcement following his sold-out 7pm set at the Pabst Theater Tuesday.
The comedian has been outspoken on the issue of gun violence in the past, even holding a benefit concert in the wake of a mass shooting outside of a bar in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio last August.
