At first, Lindsay Leinenkugel was worried about her sister and father. They both work at the MolsonCoors complex where five people where shot and killed, plus the gunman, Wednesday afternoon in Milwaukee.
Leinenkugel’s father Dick is the president of Leinenkugel’s, a subsidiary of MillerCoors.
She was thankful they were safe, but focus shifted to the people she’d come to know and love when she was a tour guide at the complex.
“I spent my college summers there,” said Leinenkugel. “I know a lot of the employees. My mind just started racing into ‘what building was it in?’ and ‘was there a tour going through it?'”
Leinenkugel’s next thought was to help out the city she calls home. She designed a “Milwaukee Strong” logo, one that even got the attention of Brewers MVP Christian Yelich.
Very heartbreaking to hear about the tragedy in Milwaukee today. My thoughts are with the victims, their families and everyone at MolsonCoors. #MilwaukeeStrong pic.twitter.com/HbWxc4ifnz

“People want to show their support,” she said. “Milwaukee has a huge feeling of pride. We love this city, especially those of us who were born and raised here.”
We need this. My friend, @LJLeinenkugel has designed a logo we can all share, get behind and live! We talk to Lindsay at 3:20p on @620wtmj @DickLeinie @KatieLeinenkug1 #MilwaukeeStrong pic.twitter.com/lRc62BBoWU
