Um…uh…you can’t make this story up. You just can’t.
Waukesha Police says that at about 1:15 p.m. Monday afternoon, two people called in to Waukesha Police about a woman who had parked her car by a dead animal just south of the intersection of Springdale and Bluemound Roads.
The first caller informed police that the woman was “performing a spiritual ritual on a dead cat in the road, in the right hand lane.” The cat turned out to be a possum.
That caller said the woman was wearing a black coat, “throwing water up in the air.”
Two minutes later, the second caller reached out to Waukesha Police after having followed the woman’s vehicle, saying “her behavior was erratic.”
“She was throwing goldfish and windshield washer fluid on the dead animal,” said the second caller, according to police records. “She then pulled out a Green Bay (Packers) lawn chair and (yelled) ‘repent’ at the dead animal.”
Someone removed the dead possum from the road.
