The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the death of an elderly woman inside her home Friday.
The woman, who was 73 years old, was found in her home near the corner of South 91st Street and West Wilbur Avenue in Milwaukee.
Outside temperatures plummeted to below zero in the overnight hours.
The Medical Examiner said her body temperature was 40 degrees when she was found.
The heat was either turned off or malfunctioning in her home, though electricity was working.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday, with reports coming afterward.
