Police in Oconomowoc and Menomonee Falls are asking for help in finding suspects wanted for recent theft incidents in their communities.
Menomonee Falls Police are looking for a male suspect wanted for stealing a purse inside a parked vehicle on January 31, 2020. The theft took place after the person using the vehicle left it briefly unattended.
The suspect was then seen around 7:45 a.m. inside The Home Depot, where a card inside the purse was used to make a purchase. Police believe the suspect may be connected to other similar incidents in the surrounding area.
One day later, Oconomowoc Police say a female suspect performed a quick change fraud incident at Piggly Wiggly around 10:20 a.m. The suspect went to the store to make a small purchase, and used several $100 bills to pay for it, asking for $20s in return.
As the employee was making change, the suspect took half of the $20 into her purse and then asked for the $100 bills back. The suspect also asked for a money order, but the store did not have the ability to honor this.
People who have information regarding either incident are asked to contact the departments.
