He’s suspected of driving his vehicle into a pedestrian in a collision so powerful that the victim would “have to learn how to walk again.” Now, Milwaukee Police believe they know who the suspect is and need your help finding him.
According to police, John Nesbitt, 50, was last seen driving a blue 2002 Ford Explorer. It had no license plates and a broken rear hatch window at the time.
There also may be damage to the passenger side bumper and the vehicle’s front grill area.
The crash happened at about 8:45 p.m. on December 29 near the corner of South 25th Street and West Greenfield Avenue.
A witness told TODAY’S TMJ4 that he watched the crash happen.
“When he hit him, he flew in the air,” McDaniel told the station. “A car was driving slow. Then another car was speeding.”
At that point, according to McDaniel, the speeding vehicle quickly moved around the slower car, hitting the pedestrian.
A witness quickly took out their cell phone and captured the car turning right on 24th. They describe the vehicle as a blue truck with a broken window and no license plates. @tmj4 pic.twitter.com/lzB1CppIlu
