Want to work for the City of Milwaukee? People will have a chance to learn more about career opportunities during the city’s 2020 City Hall Career Fair Thursday, February 6, 2020.
It will take place at Milwaukee City Hall from 11 until 2, and is open to the public.
City departments that will take part include:
– Department of Administration
– City Attorney’ Office
– Department of City Development
– City Treasurer’s Office
– Common Council/City Clerk
– Election Commission
– Department of Employee Relations
– Employee’s Retirement System
– Fire and Police Commission
– Milwaukee Public Library
– Department of Neighborhood Services
– Department of Public Works
Information will be provided regarding entry-level positions and career paths in areas including forestry, engineering, public health and the trades. City hiring managers regarding their respective departments will also be in site to help people prepare for a career with the City of Milwaukee.
Workshops will also take place to provide information on city benefits, the job application process, what it is like to work for the city, workforce barrier breakers and employability resources.
