It’s been a long wait, but former Packers safety LeRoy Butler has taken the next step towards enshrinement in Canton, Ohio.
For the first time, Butler was named one of 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s class of 2020.
Butler is one of four safeties up for induction, joining Steve Atwater, John Lynch and Troy Polamalu.
In 12 seasons with the Packers, Butler totaled 38 interceptions and 20 1/2 sacks while playing in 181 games.
