Original story
Winter weather will return to southeast Wisconsin Monday.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Washington, and Dodge counties, which is in effect from noon Monday through 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Storm Team 4 Meteorologist Jesse Ritka says a cold front will bring rain tonight, which totals ranging from a half-inch to an inch. Rain will end Monday morning, but falling temperatures will result in snow starting mid-afternoon.
“So from 3 p.m. Monday afternoon until about 7 a.m. on Tuesday, that’s the best chance to see snow across southeastern Wisconsin,” says Ritka. “Generally looking at about one to three inches across the area. About an inch-and-a-half in Milwaukee. Highest amounts will be up to the north and to the west where Fond du Lac County could see closer to four-inches.”
Ritka adds winds will be strong at times, gusting up to 30 and 35 miles-per-hour. That may prompt the National Weather Service to add additional counties to the Winter Weather Adivsory Monday.
