Brookfield Police are investigating two recent thefts, one at a retailer and one at a bus stop.
The bus stop theft happened around 4:20 p.m. on November 21, 2019. Police say an unlocked bicycle was stolen from the electrical boxes at the Brookfield Square Drive bus stop on the southwest corner of Brookfield Square Mall.
The suspect took the bike onto an MCTS bus, the Goldline 5515, then left with the bike when the bus stopped at 27th and Wisconsin.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male around 30 years old with an average build. He had a brown beard and was wearing a Wisconsin Badgers button jacket.
The retail theft happened at Target just after 6:45 p.m. on December 2, 2019. The suspect removed anti-theft security devices off a Google Nest thermostat and Google Nest doorbell, valued at just over $400.
The suspect hid the items into a sweatshirt pocket and left the store without paying. He then left the area in a dark colored sedan heading northbound.
