All of I-41/94 in Racine County has re-opened.

Two northbound lanes of I-41/94 have been re-opened after the multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Racine County. Three people were injured.
The County Sheriff’s Office said that a 31-year-old man from Kenosha was behind the wheel of his pickup truck in the northbound lanes.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, when he attempted to change lanes, his truck hit a semi tanker. That tanker lost control and hit a median wall, then struck a second semi-truck with a trailer that was going south. That semi-truck turned onto its side before stopping.
Both semi drivers had treatment for injuries and were released, while medical personnel gave the pickup truck driver stitches on numerous parts of his body.
All three vehicles had large amounts of damage.
The Sheriff’s Office cited the pickup driver with:
– Failure to maintain control of a vehicle
– Operating while suspended
– Non-registration of his truck
– Not having auto insurance

All lanes of I-41/94 NB and SB were closed due to a crash at Hwy 11 in Racine County.
Drivers are asked to use the detours below or follow the Frontage Roads.
Southbound
I-94 closed at Hwy 20
Hwy 20 West to Hwy 75
Hwy 75 South to Hwy 50
Hwy 50 East to I-94
Northbound
I-94 closed at Hwy 11
Hwy 11 East to Hwy 31
Hwy 31 North to Hwy 20
Hwy 20 to West to I-94
The Racine County Sheriff’s Office reports that at 4:27 a.m., they received calls for an accident involving a semi tanker that was on its side that went over the median wall.
Deputies are on scene currently with a traffic accident that involves two semi-trucks and a pickup truck.
Only minor injuries have been reported at this time.
