The search for a Milwaukee man charged with a fatal shooting on the city’s south side has ended with his arrest in California.
Police in Madera, about 140 miles east-southeast of San Francisco, say they received word from the U.S. Marshal’s Office that Victor Cintron was suspected at being in their city. Once an exact whereabout was determined, a SWAT call-out was executed, resulting in his arrest without incident.
Cintron is facing charges in Milwaukee County for the shooting death of 22-year-old Jose Rodriguez, who was shot dead inside his vehicle while waiting at the intersection near South 27th Street and West Forest Home Avenue back on May 3, 2019. He is also accused of trying to shoot a pregnant woman inside the vehicle, who claims Rodriguez got between her and Cintron to protect her.
Cintron is facing life in prison for first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide
