Original story
Federal authorities and police near Cincinnati are investigating a report of a boy who says he was abuducted seven years ago.
TODAY’S TMJ-4 reports police in Aurora, Illinois are working to see whether that person is Timmothy Pitzen, who was last seen on surveillance video with his mother in the Wisconsin Dells in May of 2011.
According to WCPO-TV, the boy told police he escaped from two kidnappers who had been holding him for seven years. He says had been held in a Red Roof Inn, but couldn’t say which one.
Police in Sharonville, Ohio, say they are searching for two men and a Ford SUV with Wisconsin plates, which could be connected to the disappearance of Pitzen.
Pitzen’s mother was found dead from suicide in a motel near Rockford, Illinois, with Timmothy nowhere to be found. His mother left a note saying the boy was fine and in the care of someone unnamed.
Timmothy is now 14 years old.
FBILouisville and @FBICincinnati are actively coordinating with the Newport PD, @CincyPD, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, and @AuroraPoliceIL on a missing child investigation. There will be no further statement made on this matter until we have additional information.
