The reigning N.L. MVP is starting his 2019 campaign right where he left off last season.
With a first-inning home run Sunday, Christian Yelich became the sixth player in MLB history to hit a homer in his team’s first four games of the season.
He joins Willie Mays, Mark McGwire , Nelson Cruz, Chris Davis and Trevor Story as the only players to do so. No MLB player has ever homered in five straight games to start the season.
Yelich will go for the record when the Brewers travel to Cincinnati Monday. Watch his home run below.
