The Village of Newburg in Ozakee County declared a Level 2 state of Emergency on Saturday.
TODAY’S TMJ4 reporting that residents are being asked to refrain from the use of water that goes into the sanitary system after a manhole was knocked loose overflowing their system.
Village Administrator Rick Goeckner said in a statement “We are asking people to refrain from taking a shower or doing laundry or washing dishes.”
Goeckner says the tap water is still safe to drink.
No word how long this state of emergency will last.
