UPDATE: Milwaukee Police wil give an update on the Amber Alert and murder case. Watch the live news conference in this story.
The state of Wisconsin has issued an Amber Alert for 2-year-old Noelani Robinson, while Milwaukee Police are seeking her alleged abductor in the murder of a woman on the city’s northwest side.
Milwaukee Police say they are searching for suspect Dariaz Higgins (right in the above picture). They say that he is wanted in the murder and and double shooting on Monday afternoon near the corner of North 91st Street and West Mill Road, and that he allegedly abducted Noelani.
Higgins has been charged by prosecutors with first-degree intentional homicide, as well as first-degree reckless endangering safety/use of a dangerous weapon.
“We need your help,” said Assistant Milwaukee Police Chief Steven Caballero. “We believe the suspect is armed and dangerous, so anything you can do to spread those photos could help break this case.”
Sierra Robinson, 25, was killed in the incident.
Higgins, also known as Dariaz Lewis or Dariaz Taylor, was suppose to return Noelani to her mother around 1:30 p.m. as planned. Higgins and the toddler may still be together.
Police say Higgins was seen driving a black or dark blue SUV, possibly a Nissan.
Anyone who sees either should not attempt to make contact and call 935-7022, or 911 in an emergency.
Note: Earlier reports through the Amber Alert system had said that Noelani was spelled Nolani and Dariaz was driving a 2014 black Cadillac with Florida license plate HVCZ95. The Amber Alert System and Milwaukee Police have since corrected that information.
