Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Alex Hornibrook will play his final season of college football at Florida State University, according to a report by Noles247.com.
Hornibrook took to social media to confirm his decision.
He announced he would be leaving the Wisconsin program in late February. Despite plans to graduate in May, Hornibrook will have one year of immediate eligibility remaining.
In three seasons, Hornibrook has a 60.5 completion percentage, 155 passing yards per game and 47 touchdown passes with 33 interceptions.
Florida State has been in search of quarterback depth after the dismissal of their former starting quarterback Deondre Francois in February.
The Badgers, meanwhile, are bringing in Graham Mertz, a four-star recruit from Blue Valley North High School in Kansas, as a freshman next year. He’s expected to compete for the starting job.
