Milwaukee Police continue to investigate two shootings from Saturday.
The first took place around 4:40 p.m. on South Sixth Street just north of College Avenue. An investigation found that there was a fight between two people that know each other. It escalated to the point where a 49-year-old woman was shot. The victim was taken to the hospital for additional treatment.
Police got word of the second shooting around 7:30 p.m. when a 39-year-old man entered a hospital with a gunshot wound. An investigation determined the man got into a fight with a person he knew on 37th Street and North Avenue. The suspect armed themselves with a gun and shot the victim, who received a non-life threatening injury.
In both cases police say they know who the suspects are. No word if they have been arrested.
