Three people have died after a house fire in the Town of Waukesha on Tuesday morning.
A source tells WTMJ’s Erik Bilstad that the fire was likely the result of a domestic dispute.
The fire happened at a home on the 22300 block of West Arcadian Avenue at about 3:15 a.m.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office said that one adult and two adolescent children were believed to be the victims, though they did not confirm the identities of those who died. Authorities said they don’t expect any more victims to be found.
Rescue crews took an 80-year-old woman from the home to Waukesha Memorial Hospital.
They also took a nine-year-old boy to Children’s Hospital. A source tells WTMJ the boy is the sibling of the two children who died.
Traffic will be closed on State Highway 59 between North Springdale Road and State Highway 164.
14 municipal fire or police departments responded to the fire.
