One person is in custody in connection to a fatal shooting on Milwaukee’s north side.
Police say officers were called to the 3900 block of North 16th Street around 11:30 p.m. Saturday for shots fired. When they arrived they found a woman, believed to be in her 20s, with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
About 15 minutes later police were called to the 1200 block of West National Avenue where there was another shooting victim. There they found a 30-year-old woman with a non-life threatening injury, and she was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The investigation into the shootings determining the gunshot wounds sustained by the two victims are from the state incident. The 30-year-old was arrested as the investigation continues.
