A bail amount of $500,000 has been set for the man accused of killing Carlie Beaudin, the nurse practitioner who was killed outside a parking structure of Froedtert Hospital. 27 year- old Kenneth Freeman facing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide.
The criminal complaint states that surveillance video around 1 a.m last Friday shows 33 year-old Beaudin heading towards her car when confronted by Freeman.
Beaudin continues to walk towards her vehicle when Freeman runs up behind her, and began attacking her.
A spokeswoman for the MPD says Freeman was released from jail hours before the attack. Sgt. Sheronda Grant said Freeman was arrested for resisting and obstructing an officer in addition to use of a weapon, but was released the afternoon of January 24th because prosecutors ran out of time to file any charges.
According to TODAY’S TMJ4, Freeman is subject to gps monitoring. If he refuses, his bail will rise to upwards of $1 million.
Freeman’s next court appearance is scheduled for Feb 8th.
