The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is letting students, faculty and staff know that it will not be operating classes for much of this week, due to the extreme cold on its way.
The university said that all classes, events, and programs at the school would be closed from 5 p.m. Tuesday until 8 a.m. Friday. The university’s buildings would remain open.
Conditions are expected to reach wind chills of -55 by Wednesday in parts of Southeastern Wisconsin, with temperatures coming close to all-time lows in the area as well.
