The Milwaukee Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the suspect wanted for an attempted armed robbery.
It took place on Thursday, January 10 at 11:50 a.m. on the 1000 block of East North Avenue.
Investigators have determined the victim was walking to his vehicle when the suspect approached him, displayed a rifle styled firearm and demanded money. The victim grabbed the firearm and a struggle ensued. The suspect let go of the firearm, grabbed nothing, and fled in the direction of North Humboldt Boulevard and North Weil Street.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with a medium brown skin complexion, standing about five-foot-eight, weighing about 220 pounds and having silver teeth. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat, a black winter style jacket with a hood, a black shirt, black sweatpants, black shoes, and white gloves.
