An investigation continues into what caused a 30-year-old woman to driver her vehicle into Lake Michigan in Racine Sunday morning, resulting in her death.
Emergency responders were called to the scene of Racine’s North Shore beach around 2:30 a.m. after someone witnessed the vehicle drive into the water and submerge.
The Racine Water Rescue Team was able to spot the vehicle eight feet deep in the water, and get the woman out of it. Efforts were made to revive her, but they were unsuccessful.
The vehicle was recovered from the water later in the morning.
