The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office says that an investigation into reports of shots fired led to the closure of I-43 southbound through the Marquette Interchange. Those lanes were being re-opened as of 3:20 p.m.
No injuries were reported, but investigations continue.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says that authorities shutdown lanes from I-43 southbound north of the interchange to I-43/94 southbound just south of it. They also closed the I-794 westbound and I-94 eastbound ramps to southbound I-43/94.
They cite the law enforcement activity investigating the reports of shots fired. The reports happened at about 1:40 p.m. Monday afternoon.
