EVANSVILLE, Wis. (AP) – Authorities have identified a 21-year-old Evansville man who was killed in an apparent hit-and-run over the weekend.
The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department on Sunday identified the victim as William Church. Preliminary autopsy results confirm that Church died of injuries suffered when he was struck by a vehicle.
Authorities found Church’s body in the middle of a highway in Union Township early Saturday. He died at the scene.
Investigators say the driver left and had not been located as of Saturday.
The death remains under investigation.
