Charter Communications says 911 service has been restored to those affected after a temporary outage this morning.
“Services have been restored for Spectrum customers, south of Forest Home Avenue, following a temporary outage linked to a fiber that was damaged by a third party,” Charter told WTMJ in a statement. “Spectrum crews worked to restore service as quickly as possible. We appreciate our customers’ patience as we made the necessary repairs.”

A fiber issue is preventing some customers with Charter Communications from dialing 911 Sunday morning.
Charter says they’re experiencing issues south of West Forest Home Ave. Police say Charter is unable to provide boundaries for the affected area, or an estimated time of when services will be restored.
Charter was advised to notify MPD when 911 service is back to normal.
