Milwaukee’s appreciation for the likely 2018 NL MVP continues. Wednesday the Milwaukee County Transit System announced that Route 22, which runs between UWM and 60th Street, will now be called the ‘Yelich Line’ from Nov. 8 to Nov. 15.
The change in name comes in support of Yelich being named a top three finalist for the NL MVP award, along with Javier Baez of the Chicago Cubs and Nolan Arenado of the Colorado Rockies.
MCTS says all 400 buses will display a special message if he’s named MVP.
