Wisconsin voters giving two thumbs up to the idea of legalizing marijuana.
The non-binding referendum passing in Milwaukee with 70% of voters saying they’d be open to discussing the possibility of legalization.
Milwaukee County was one of sixteen counties with a similar question on Tuesday’s ballot, with all 16 municipalities voting, overwhelmingly, ‘yes’.
Of course, marijuana is not legalized, as the question yesterday was informational only, but it could open up a passageway for eventual legalization.
Supporters say it’ll give people suffering from chronic illness or pain to find a non-opioid treatment, while those in opposition say it could lead to unforeseen consequences.
