MADISON- State Assemblyman John Jagler (R- Watertown) is heading into the November election without an opponent.
The State Elections Commission today (Monday) voting unanimously to remove Democratic hopeful Charisse Daniels from the ballot after it was discovered she’d fraudulently submitted signatures on her petition to appear on the ballot last week.
Daniels had submitted 201 signatures to appear on the ballot, but was formally challenged on 43 of them, pushing her totals below the 200 signature threshold.
During Monday’s meeting the Commission also voting to remove Assembly hopefuls Jim Duncan (R-Grand Chute), Maria Villarreal (D-Milwaukee), and Thomas Leager (L-Madison), from ballot contention, as well, due to a lack of signatures.
Challenges to Democratic governor candidates Andy Gronik, Dana Wachs, along with Republican US Senate Candidate Kevin Nicholson, were all voted down.
