The Bucks have been enjoying the sights and sounds of Paris, but today their attention turns to beating the Charlotte Hornets.
“We got here around 11 o’clock on Tuesday morning and we had two full days to enjoy the sights of Paris and be tourists,” Voice of the Bucks Ted Davis tells Wisconsin’s Morning News. “And then I woke up this morning and I realized, ‘oh my goodness, we do have to work.’ So today is kind of like a work day for everybody.”
Even overseas, Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is recognized… as a superstar.
“He is a magnet when he is out,” says Davis. “And he’s got such a good personality. He’s a star that seems approachable because he seems happy. I think people enjoy that. I think he’s handled the limelight really well. It’s only getting bigger for him and I think it will continue to get bigger as long as he stays healthy and as long as he plays the way he’s playing now.
“I’ve seen guys change because of money and fame, but so far with him I haven’t seen that. That’s encouraging. He’s very down to earth, he’s a good teammate, he enjoys the interaction with fans it seems, and that’s good to see.”
