Minutes after the Bucks announced the signing on Twitter, Gasol took to it to express his excitement for the change in teams.
Thrilled to begin this new chapter in my @NBA journey with the great @Bucks. I look forward to the challenge. My goal, as always, will be to add value to the team and help deliver a championship to Milwaukee. #FearTheDeer pic.twitter.com/Ae6O3aeXEV

Gasol is in his 18th season in the NBA. His play this season has been hampered due to a stress fracture in his right foot, but he brings playoff experience to a young team that hasn’t won a playoff series since 2001.
Gasol will wear number 17 with the Bucks. To make room for him, the Bucks released Isaiah Canaan from his 10-day contract earlier in the day.
